Indian policies guided by extremist ideologies: Pak on cancelled FM meet

Pakistan's Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudry

Islamabad [Pakistan], Sep 21 (ANI): Pakistan's Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudry on Friday accused Indian policies of being guided by extremist ideologies.
Chaudry tweeted, "It seems that the Indian govt is divided on the issue of negotiations - have never seen such a puerile statement given by any Foreign Office. The world is watching: Pakistan stands for peace while Indian policies are being guided by extremist ideologies."
This came after India called off the meeting between External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Pakistan Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi which was scheduled to take place on the sidelines of upcoming United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The decision to call off the meeting came hours after security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir were kidnapped and brutally killed on Friday.
Terror attacks against policemen in the state have been rampant in recent times.
On August 29, four policemen were killed when they were indiscriminately fired upon by a group of terrorists in Shopian's Arhama.
On August 22, three policemen were gunned down in three separate attacks by terrorists. Two of the attacks took place in Pulwama district, with one policeman killed in Kulgam.
On June 14, the gravely injured body of Aurangzeb, a member of 44 Rashtriya Rifles was found. He was abducted and killed by terrorists while he was returning home for the festival of Eid. (ANI)
